GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The transmission of programmes by cable by cable operators under the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Press Registrar, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every cable operator carrying on the transmission of programmes by cable shall furnish Form I to the Board of Film Certification within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every cable operator carrying on the transmission of programmes by cable shall make an application in Form I to the Board of Film Certification within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the transmission of programmes by cable is undertaken, and the Board of Film Certification shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Karnataka.
