GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The keeping of a shop in a village market by shopkeepers in a village market under the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Secretary of the Gram Panchayat, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every shopkeeper in a village market carrying on the keeping of a shop in a village market shall furnish Form 1 to the Gram Panchayat within sixty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every shopkeeper in a village market carrying on the keeping of a shop in a village market shall make an application in Form 1 to the Gram Panchayat within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a shop in a village market is undertaken, and the Gram Panchayat shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of West Bengal.
