Chennai, dated the 16th June, 2017

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The taking of evidence on commission by commissioners appointed by the court under the Tamil Nadu Court Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1955, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Registrar, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every commissioner appointed by the court carrying on the taking of evidence on commission shall furnish Form C to the High Court within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every commissioner appointed by the court carrying on the taking of evidence on commission shall make an application in Form C to the High Court within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the taking of evidence on commission is undertaken, and the High Court shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
