GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION
Subject: The extraction of ground water by person drawing ground waters under the Maharashtra Groundwater (Development and Management) Act, 2009, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Executive Engineer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every person drawing ground water carrying on the extraction of ground water shall furnish Form A to the Government of Maharashtra within ninety days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every person drawing ground water carrying on the extraction of ground water shall make an application in Form A to the Government of Maharashtra within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the extraction of ground water is undertaken, and the Government of Maharashtra shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra.
