GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: Employment in an industry by workmen under the Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1962, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Inspector, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every workman carrying on employment in an industry shall furnish Form II to the appropriate Government within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every workman carrying on employment in an industry shall make an application in Form II to the appropriate Government within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which employment in an industry is undertaken, and the appropriate Government shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Karnataka.
