GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The borrowing of money by borrowers under the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 2000, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the authorised officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every borrower carrying on the borrowing of money shall furnish Form A to the Reserve Bank within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every borrower carrying on the borrowing of money shall make an application in Form A to the Reserve Bank within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the borrowing of money is undertaken, and the Reserve Bank shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra.
