Chennai, dated the 12th November, 2015

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The use of water by users of water under the Tamil Nadu Groundwater (Development and Management) Act, 2003, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Executive Engineer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every user of water carrying on the use of water shall furnish Form B to the Government of Tamil Nadu within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every user of water carrying on the use of water shall make an application in Form B to the Government of Tamil Nadu within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the use of water is undertaken, and the Government of Tamil Nadu shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
