GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The conduct of tours by tour operators under the Tamil Nadu Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1966, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Director General, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every tour operator carrying on the conduct of tours shall furnish Form I to the Authority within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every tour operator carrying on the conduct of tours shall make an application in Form I to the Authority within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the conduct of tours is undertaken, and the Authority shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
