GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The holding of land by owners under the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1962, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Collector, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner carrying on the holding of land shall furnish Form 1 to the Sub-Registrar within one hundred and eighty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner carrying on the holding of land shall make an application in Form 1 to the Sub-Registrar within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of land is undertaken, and the Sub-Registrar shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Karnataka.
