In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maintenance And Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 (56 of 2007), the Central Government hereby directs that the powers exercisable by it under section 9 shall, subject to its control, also be exercisable by the Marriage Officer.
