GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

Subject: The keeping of a shop in a village market by shopkeepers in a village market under the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, 1959, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Secretary of the Gram Panchayat, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every shopkeeper in a village market carrying on the keeping of a shop in a village market shall furnish Form 1 to the Gram Panchayat within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every shopkeeper in a village market carrying on the keeping of a shop in a village market shall make an application in Form 1 to the Gram Panchayat within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a shop in a village market is undertaken, and the Gram Panchayat shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Maharashtra.
