Chennai, dated the 9th February, 2012

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The use of water by users of water under the Tamil Nadu Groundwater (Development and Management) Act, 2003, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Executive Engineer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every user of water carrying on the use of water shall furnish Form A to the Government of Tamil Nadu within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every user of water carrying on the use of water shall make an application in Form A to the Government of Tamil Nadu within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the use of water is undertaken, and the Government of Tamil Nadu shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
