GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The import of goods by importers under the Tamil Nadu Special Economic Zones (Special Provisions) Act, 2005, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the adjudicating authority, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every importer carrying on the import of goods shall furnish Form SEZ-1 to the Development Commissioner within thirty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every importer carrying on the import of goods shall make an application in Form SEZ-1 to the Development Commissioner within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the import of goods is undertaken, and the Development Commissioner shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
