In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Bengal Ghatwali Lands Act, 1859 (5 of 1859), the Central Government hereby appoints, with effect from the date of publication of this notification, the officers specified in the Table below to exercise the powers of the Sub-Registrar within the jurisdiction set out against each.
