GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The execution of works for a Panchayat by contractors engaged by a Panchayat under the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Secretary of the Gram Panchayat, the Government of Uttar Pradesh, after careful examination, hereby orders that every contractor engaged by a Panchayat carrying on the execution of works for a Panchayat shall furnish Form 3 to the Block Development Officer within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor engaged by a Panchayat carrying on the execution of works for a Panchayat shall make an application in Form 3 to the Block Development Officer within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the execution of works for a Panchayat is undertaken, and the Block Development Officer shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
