New Delhi, dated the 16th March, 2011

ORDER

Subject: The manufacture of excisable articles by manufacturers under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 10 of 2009), the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi is pleased to order that

1. In the circumstances reported by the Excise Officer, the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, after careful examination, hereby orders that every manufacturer carrying on the manufacture of excisable articles shall furnish Form B to the Commissioner within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every manufacturer carrying on the manufacture of excisable articles shall make an application in Form B to the Commissioner within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the manufacture of excisable articles is undertaken, and the Commissioner shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
