Mumbai, dated the 26th April, 2010

GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

Subject: The exhibition of films by exhibitors under the Maharashtra Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1953, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Press Registrar, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every exhibitor carrying on the exhibition of films shall furnish Form III to the Press Registrar within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every exhibitor carrying on the exhibition of films shall make an application in Form III to the Press Registrar within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the exhibition of films is undertaken, and the Press Registrar shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Maharashtra.
