In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Departmental Inquiries (Enforcement of Attendance of Witnesses and Production of Documents) Act, 1972 (18 of 1972), the Central Government hereby directs that the powers exercisable by it under section 9 shall, subject to its control, also be exercisable by the Secretary.
