GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: Dealing in antiquities by licensees under the Tamil Nadu Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1966, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Director General, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every licensee carrying on dealing in antiquities shall furnish Form I to the Director General within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee carrying on dealing in antiquities shall make an application in Form I to the Director General within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which dealing in antiquities is undertaken, and the Director General shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
