GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

Subject: The driving of a motor vehicle by drivers under the Maharashtra Motor Vehicles Tax Act, 1958, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the registering authority, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every driver carrying on the driving of a motor vehicle shall furnish Form 23 to the Regional Transport Authority within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every driver carrying on the driving of a motor vehicle shall make an application in Form 23 to the Regional Transport Authority within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the driving of a motor vehicle is undertaken, and the Regional Transport Authority shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Maharashtra.
