GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

Subject: The transmission of programmes by cable by cable operators under the Maharashtra Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1953, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Press Registrar, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every cable operator carrying on the transmission of programmes by cable shall furnish Form III to the Government of Maharashtra within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every cable operator carrying on the transmission of programmes by cable shall make an application in Form III to the Government of Maharashtra within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the transmission of programmes by cable is undertaken, and the Government of Maharashtra shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Maharashtra.
