GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION
Subject: The business of a financial institution by financial institutions under the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 2000, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the authorised officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every financial institution carrying on the business of a financial institution shall furnish Form B to the Reserve Bank within sixty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every financial institution carrying on the business of a financial institution shall make an application in Form B to the Reserve Bank within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the business of a financial institution is undertaken, and the Reserve Bank shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra.
