GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The placement of children for adoption by adoption agencies under the Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Act, 1997, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Marriage Officer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every adoption agency carrying on the placement of children for adoption shall furnish Form III to the Registrar General within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every adoption agency carrying on the placement of children for adoption shall make an application in Form III to the Registrar General within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the placement of children for adoption is undertaken, and the Registrar General shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Karnataka.
