GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The engagement of contract labour by principal employers under the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Act, 1981, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Inspector, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every principal employer carrying on the engagement of contract labour shall furnish Form II to the Chief Inspector within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every principal employer carrying on the engagement of contract labour shall make an application in Form II to the Chief Inspector within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the engagement of contract labour is undertaken, and the Chief Inspector shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
