GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The holding of foreign exchange by persons resident in India under the Tamil Nadu Special Economic Zones (Special Provisions) Act, 2005, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the adjudicating authority, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every person resident in India carrying on the holding of foreign exchange shall furnish Form SEZ-1 to the Director General within thirty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every person resident in India carrying on the holding of foreign exchange shall make an application in Form SEZ-1 to the Director General within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of foreign exchange is undertaken, and the Director General shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
