GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The execution of works for a Panchayat by contractors engaged by a Panchayat under the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Secretary of the Gram Panchayat, the Government of Andhra Pradesh, after careful examination, hereby orders that every contractor engaged by a Panchayat carrying on the execution of works for a Panchayat shall furnish Form 2 to the District Panchayat within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor engaged by a Panchayat carrying on the execution of works for a Panchayat shall make an application in Form 2 to the District Panchayat within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the execution of works for a Panchayat is undertaken, and the District Panchayat shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
