GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

Subject: Service on a ship by seamen under the Maharashtra Maritime Board Act, 1996, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Principal Officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every seaman carrying on service on a ship shall furnish Form 1 to the Director-General within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every seaman carrying on service on a ship shall make an application in Form 1 to the Director-General within seven days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which service on a ship is undertaken, and the Director-General shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Maharashtra.
