GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The construction of a building in a village by owners of a building in a village under the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, 1959, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Secretary of the Gram Panchayat, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a building in a village carrying on the construction of a building in a village shall furnish Form 1 to the Block Development Officer within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a building in a village carrying on the construction of a building in a village shall make an application in Form 1 to the Block Development Officer within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the construction of a building in a village is undertaken, and the Block Development Officer shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Maharashtra.
