No. 2788/2008.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Groundwater (Development and Management) Act, 2003 (Tamil Nadu Act 3 of 2003), the State Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts operators of a water supply scheme whose annual value of the operation of a water supply scheme does not exceed one thousand rupees from the provisions of section 4 of the said Act, subject to the condition that every such person shall intimate the Board in writing of the commencement of the operation of a water supply scheme within thirty days of such commencement.
