No. 879/2002.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Maritime Board Act, 1995 (Tamil Nadu Act 4 of 1995), the State Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts port authorities whose annual value of the working of a port does not exceed ten thousand rupees from the provisions of section 4 of the said Act, subject to the condition that every such person shall intimate the Director-General in writing of the commencement of the working of a port within thirty days of such commencement.
