No. 1226/1999.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Protection of Interests of Depositors Act, 1997 (Tamil Nadu Act 44 of 1997), the State Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts listed companies whose annual value of the listing of securities does not exceed one lakh rupees from the provisions of section 4 of the said Act, subject to the condition that every such person shall intimate the Board in writing of the commencement of the listing of securities within fifteen days of such commencement.
