No. 2575/1997.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Maharashtra Maritime Board Act, 1996 (Maharashtra Act 10 of 1996), the State Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts port authorities whose annual value of the working of a port does not exceed ten thousand rupees from the provisions of section 4 of the said Act, subject to the condition that every such person shall intimate the Director-General in writing of the commencement of the working of a port within ninety days of such commencement.
