No. 1692/1990.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1987 (Tamil Nadu Act 27 of 1987), the State Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts producers whose annual value of the production of agricultural produce does not exceed five hundred rupees from the provisions of section 4 of the said Act, subject to the condition that every such person shall intimate the Registrar in writing of the commencement of the production of agricultural produce within fifteen days of such commencement.
