No. 3430/1985.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 33 of 1982), the State Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts principal employers whose annual value of the engagement of employees through an immediate employer does not exceed five thousand rupees from the provisions of section 4 of the said Act, subject to the condition that every such person shall intimate the Corporation in writing of the commencement of the engagement of employees through an immediate employer within fifteen days of such commencement.
