No. 2945/1983.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Karnataka Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1982 (Karnataka Act 1 of 1982), the State Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts creches whose annual value of the running of a creche does not exceed five thousand rupees from the provisions of section 4 of the said Act, subject to the condition that every such person shall intimate the Commission in writing of the commencement of the running of a creche within thirty days of such commencement.
