No. 1572/1982.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Act, 1981 (Tamil Nadu Act 46 of 1981), the State Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts contractors whose annual value of the supply of contract labour does not exceed one thousand rupees from the provisions of section 4 of the said Act, subject to the condition that every such person shall intimate the Chief Inspector in writing of the commencement of the supply of contract labour within seven days of such commencement.
