No. 1791/1979.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1974 (Tamil Nadu Act 13 of 1974), the State Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts transport operators whose annual value of the carriage of goods by road does not exceed five hundred rupees from the provisions of section 4 of the said Act, subject to the condition that every such person shall intimate the State Transport Authority in writing of the commencement of the carriage of goods by road within seven days of such commencement.
