No. 1280/1970.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1966 (Tamil Nadu Act 25 of 1966), the State Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts tour operators whose annual value of the conduct of tours does not exceed five thousand rupees from the provisions of section 4 of the said Act, subject to the condition that every such person shall intimate the Director General in writing of the commencement of the conduct of tours within thirty days of such commencement.
