No. 2386/1954.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951 (Maharashtra Act 22 of 1951), the State Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts persons employed in a defence installation whose annual value of the entry into a defence installation does not exceed five hundred rupees from the provisions of section 4 of the said Act, subject to the condition that every such person shall intimate the Director-General in writing of the commencement of the entry into a defence installation within seven days of such commencement.
