No. 2963/1948.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947 (Uttar Pradesh Act 26 of 1947), the State Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts operators of a ferry whose annual value of the operation of a ferry does not exceed one hundred rupees from the provisions of section 4 of the said Act, subject to the condition that every such person shall intimate the Gram Panchayat in writing of the commencement of the operation of a ferry within fifteen days of such commencement.
