No. 1771/1920.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1919 (Tamil Nadu Act 4 of 1919), the State Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts licensees whose annual value of the running of licensed premises does not exceed five hundred rupees from the provisions of section 4 of the said Act, subject to the condition that every such person shall intimate the Corporation in writing of the commencement of the running of licensed premises within sixty days of such commencement.
