S.O. 369(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Cess and Other Taxes on Minerals (Validation) Act, 1992 (16 of 1992), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts agents whose the working of a mine does not exceed fifty thousand rupees in value in a financial year from the provisions of section 4 of the said Act, subject to the condition that every such person shall intimate the Controller General in writing of the commencement of the working of a mine within one hundred and eighty days of such commencement.
