S.O. 583(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Act, 1988 (45 of 1988), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts records officer whose the disposal of requests does not exceed two hundred and fifty rupees in value in a financial year from the provisions of section 4 of the said Act, subject to the condition that every such person shall intimate the Central Information Commission in writing of the commencement of the disposal of requests within forty-five days of such commencement.
