S.O. 2993(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Reorganisation Act followed by Constitution (Fifty-sixth Amendment) Act, 1987 (18 of 1987), the Central Government hereby appoints the 24th May, 1989 as the date on which the remaining provisions of the said Act shall come into force.
