S.O. 958(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1980 (40 of 1980), the Central Government hereby appoints the 21st June, 1981 as the date on which the provisions of sections 1 to 3 of the said Act shall come into force.
