S.O. 1625(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Union Territories (Direct Election to the House of the People) Act, 1965 (49 of 1965), the Central Government hereby appoints the 14th October, 1966 as the date on which the remaining provisions of the said Act shall come into force.
