S.O. 2858(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Manipur (Sales of Motor Spirit and Lubricants) Taxation Act, 1962 (55 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts transporters whose dealing in excisable articles does not exceed five thousand rupees in value in a financial year from the provisions of section 4 of the said Act, subject to the condition that every such person shall intimate the Commissioner in writing of the commencement of dealing in excisable articles within sixty days of such commencement.
