S.O. 1309(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts transports operator whose the use of a transport vehicle does not exceed five hundred rupees in value in a financial year from the provisions of section 4 of the said Act, subject to the condition that every such person shall intimate the State Transport Authority in writing of the commencement of the use of a transport vehicle within sixty days of such commencement.
