S.O. 980(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 (28 of 1961), the Central Government hereby appoints the 27th April, 1962 as the date on which the provisions of sections 1 to 7 of the said Act shall come into force.
