S.O. 2259(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Transfer of Prisoners Act, 1950 (29 of 1950), the Central Government hereby appoints the 24th August, 1951 as the date on which the provisions of the said Act shall come into force.
